Gisou: Sustainable innovation in beauty packaging.

Founded by influencer and entrepreneur Negin Mirsalehi, Gisou has become a celebrated name in the world of luxury haircare, combining high-performance products with a strong commitment to sustainability.

When Gisou approached Wrapology, they were seeking packaging that would embody both the brand’s eco-conscious values and its refined, contemporary aesthetic.

A case built on sustainability

To bring their vision to life, we created a bespoke travel case made entirely from sugarcane waste by-products.

This natural material is wet moulded and assembled by hand, resulting in a case that is not only plastic-free but also fully recyclable, biodegradable, and derived from a renewable source.

Every element of this pack was designed with sustainability at its core. It is proof that beauty and responsibility can exist in perfect harmony.

Attention to every detail

The pack’s distinctive smooth surface comes directly from the moulding process, eliminating the need for additional coatings or finishes.

The soft blush tone was achieved by dyeing the paper pulp to match a precise Pantone shade, ensuring colour consistency across every unit.

Embossed branding adds a subtle tactile quality, reinforcing Gisou’s luxurious yet understated identity.

Precision and quality control

Because the production process for moulded fibre is inherently complex, maintaining accuracy and quality at every stage was paramount. Continuous inline quality checks were carried out throughout the manufacturing cycle, with our on-site QC inspector overseeing every detail, from colour and registration to size and tolerance.

Tested for real-world use

Each case underwent a series of drop and moisture tests to ensure that it would remain durable and resilient through shipping, storage, and everyday use, meeting the high standards expected of a luxury beauty brand.

Design challenges and clever solutions

One of the project’s greatest challenges lay in transforming the design concept into a functional product. Moulded paper pulp is limited by draft angles that allow the form to release cleanly from the mould, meaning no line can be perfectly straight.

The Gisou case design required three individual moulds, an outer shell and two internal trays, demanding exceptionally tight tolerances to ensure a flawless fit.

Through close collaboration, precision engineering, and a deep respect for sustainable craftsmanship, we delivered a packaging solution that captures Gisou’s spirit: innovative, elegant, and responsibly made.
