Moulded Paper Pulp
Wrapology have been designing and producing moulded paper packaging since 2015.
Working for brands in the beauty, tech, jewellery and food industry, we have a proven track record of developing award winning products using this technology.
Our Expertise
It starts with an idea.
Our technicians work directly with your brand to provide an initial quotation. Upon agreement of the quotation, the design file (.stp format) is fine tuned by our technicians to work on the machines. In particular, we pay attention to draft angles to ensure that once moulded the packaging can be easily removed and be die cut.
Once agreed, we produce a 3D printed sample for your team to review and test before we make the moulds.

The Sustainable Solution
The paper pulp we use derives from the waste product of sugarcane.
Often referred to as Bagasse, the paper arrives in our factory in a very raw form in bales.
The raw bagasse bales arrive in the factory.
The bagasse is then mulched up into paper pulp and mixed with water that is continually recycled within the plant.
The pulp is then pushed through machines and a mould that lifts the paper pulp up and pushes the water out to create an initial shape.
The initial shape is then transferred to another machine which applies heat and pressure to dry the material and give it its shape.
The final shape is then moved to another machine which then die cuts the shape to create the finished product.
Devil in the Detail
The paper pulp forming (above) is only part of the process.
The below video shows each stage of the production and assembly for the Gisou hair curler box.
Each stage must be carefully monitored to ensure tolerances for size, colour and material thickness
stay within the agreed limit.
A combination of machines and skilled workers are required to ensure production is completed smoothly.
